James Martin Holloway passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife of 61 years Marjorie and family members.Born in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Chester and Faye Holloway. The family later moved to Memphis, Tennessee where he spent most of his childhood.In 1942 he enlisted in the USMC and served during WWII. After his discharge, he enlisted in the USN serving during the Korean War. In 1953 he met and married Marjorie in Everett, Massachusetts. James was a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite in Memphis, Tennessee, Past Masonic Master of Mt. Shasta...

James Martin Holloway passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife of 61 years Marjorie and family members.Born in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Chester and Faye Holloway. The family later moved to Memphis, Tennessee where he spent most of his childhood.In 1942 he enlisted in the USMC and served during WWII. After his discharge, he enlisted in the USN serving during the Korean War. In 1953 he met and married Marjorie in Everett, Massachusetts. James was a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite in Memphis, Tennessee, Past Masonic Master of Mt. Shasta Lodge 281 and a member of Vesper Lodge 84 in Red Bluff, CA. James worked for Kimberly Clark in Memphis, Tennessee and Simpson Paper Company in Anderson, CA until his retirement in 1990.Survivors include his wife, Marjorie L. Holloway; daughters, Betty Jo Corwin and Barbara Tatro (Jack); sons, Gary M. Holloway (Sandra) and James T. Holloway (Pamela). He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 10 great grand children and sister Lillian Pittman. James was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Faye Holloway; his brother, George Holloway and great- granddaughter, Lexi.Services will be held March 25, 2015 at McDonalds Chapel 1275 Continental St. Redding, CA at 12:30 P.M.
