Not all angels solely reside in Heaven, some angels walk amongst us and Ruth Vaughn Tooley Graham was surely one of them. At 93 years old, Ruth gained her wings as she went home to be with the Lord in Burney, CA on Saturday, September 9, 2017 surrounded by family. Born on December 25, 1923, Ruth devoted her life to serving God and loving her family. She leaves behind a legacy of two beautiful, God-centered marriages, seven children, 28 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and one on the way.
She never failed to exemplify what a true Christian should be by praying for her family and friends daily and her walk was one of true living testimony. Ruth never failed to recognize birthdays, anniversaries and holidays for each member of her family with a homemade card that contained the most heartfelt words that will never be forgotten.
Even though we are all saddened by her passing, we each have peace knowing she has been reunited with family and friends in Heaven and has met her Lord and Savior.
During Ruth's working years, she was employed by a large food processing industry in Southern California and later on in life she worked at the Senior Nutritionist Center in Burney, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Tooley and Kenneth Graham, and two children, Joanne Tooley and Jim Tooley. She is survived by her sons, John and Vickie Tooley of Paso Robles, CA, Mike and Rosie Tooley of Dana, CA and her daughters, Jeanette Burrell of Horse Shoe, NC, Linda Keesling of Atascadero, CA and Sharon and Jim Estes of Burney, CA.
The family would like to thank Kathy McDonald-Sweet (private caregiver) and the Hospice Organization of the Intermountain Area for all of their assistance and care during this time.
Arrangements under the direction of McDonald's Chapel, Redding, CA.
